ICICI Bank’s new service called as icicibankpay can help you open fixed deposits, recurring deposits account via Twitter. Additionally, one can even pay their postpaid mobile bills, and also link Aadhaar card with bank account by just using Twitter. 

How ICICI Bank's new service works:

Postpaid Mobile Bill:

• Send Direct Message #GenOTP to receive OTP on registered mobile.
• Next send Direct Message #billpay <10-digit mobile> <Billercode> <Amount> <OTP>

Fixed Deposits:

A Cumulative Standard FD will be opened with no auto renewal option and on maturity the amount will be credited back to your primary savings account.

Registration safety:

You can register only if you follow @icicibank. If you feel your account is compromised immediately de-register by please simply unfollowing @icicibank

When you register for Twitter, the processing can be done, only if your mobile number is registered with ICICI Bank. Registration will be linked only to this account

An OTP( one time password) is sent to that number as an SMS and NOT to your Twitter, hence no one but you can have access to that OTP. Only post OTP confirmation, you can start transacting on Twitter using icicibankpay
