UAN Registration: How to activate your UAN? Check documents and other details
UAN Registration: EPFO holders can generate UAN and activate it online through the UAN Member Portal.
UAN Registration: Universal Account Number or UAN is a unique identification number allotted to each and every member of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation. UAN is a 12-digit number issued by the EPFO. The UAN will act as an umbrella for the multiple Member Ids allotted to an individual by different establishments. A member can use EPFO’s online services with their UAN, including e-nomination and checking the EPFO balance. EPFO account holders can have only one UAN during their service time where all EPF accounts are linked. EPFO holders can generate UAN and activate it online through the UAN Member Portal.
How to activate the UAN number
Step 1: Visit to the EPFO portal.
Step 2: Select ‘employees’ under the services section.
Step 3: Click on the ‘Member UAN/Online Service’ option available under the services section.
Step 4: Click on ‘activate UAN.’
Step 5: Enter the details, including UAN, Member ID, and Aadhaar number.
Step 6: Request for the authorization PIN.
Step 7: Validate the OTP received on your registered mobile number and activate UAN.
Step 8: Members will receive a password on their mobile number to log in to the UAN member portal and access their EPF account.

EPFO UAN number: How to find
Step 1: Visit to the epfindia.gov.in
Step 2: Click on ‘Know your UAN’ under the ‘Important Links’ listed in the right bottom corner.
Step 3: Enter the mobile number linked to your EPF account and the captcha
Step 4: Enter the OTP received on your phone and click on ‘Validate OTP & get UAN’.
Step 5: EPFO member will receive UAN number on SMS
