EPFO: How to register a complaint on EPF grievance management portal?
EPFO allows members, pensioners and employers to lodge their grievances on its portal called EPF i-Grievance Management System (EPFiGMS). Through the EPFiGMS portal, EPF members can also get their queries answered.
Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) manages the provident fund scheme for salaried employees in the private sector for providing them retirement benefits. In case of any disputes or grievances related to EPF like claims, deposits, account balance and irregularities by employer, among others, the members can raise their complaint on EPFO portal. EPF members can register their complaints or grievances on the EPF i-Grievance Management System (EPFiGMS) portal.
It is a customised portal run by EPFO which aims to redress the grievances for the services provided by EPFO. Any complaints lodged with the portal are sent to the concerned officials and addressed within a specific time period. Through the EPFiGMS portal, EPF members can not only submit their grievances but also have their queries answered.
According to the EPFO, members can lodge complaints and grievances at any place and it will eventually be sent to the concerned office to, which the grievances pertain. The complaints can also be sent to the Head Office in Delhi or to the field offices across the country. Besides that, it also allows EPF members to view the status of the existing complaints and requests.
How to register a complaint on the EPFiGMS portal?
1. Go to the official website of EPF i-Grievance Management System at https://epfigms.gov.in/
2. Select 'Register Grievance' from the drop-down menu on the left side of the page.
3. A new page will appear on the screen with options as per your Status. Select the relevant section, say 'Others'.
4. Enter your Universal Account Number (UAN). Add the security code and click on 'Get Details'.
5. Your details including your name, UAN, email ID and mobile number will appear on the screen.
6. Select 'Get OTP' and enter the OTP received on the registered number.
7. You will see the 'Personal Details' section from where you need to choose the relevant PF account number.
8. Next, under the 'Grievance Details' section, choose the type of grievance you want to report and give a description.
9. Upload any required documents and click on the 'Add' button.
Your complaint will be registered on the portal. You will also receive a registration number.
How to check the EPF complaint status?
If you want to check the status of your EPF complaint on the portal, the process is very simple. Check here:
1. Go to the official website of the EPF i-Grievance Management System and click on 'View Status'
3. Enter the registration that you received while lodging the complaint.
4. Enter the grievance password or your mobile number/email ID and the security code.
5. Click on Submit.
6. The status will be displayed on the screen.
