PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: Full list of factors that determine who gets Rs 2,000 installment
PM Kisan Yojana: Under this scheme, eligible land-holding farmer families receive income support totaling Rs 6,000 annually, distributed in three equal installments directly deposited into their bank accounts. However, not all farmers get the benefit of the PM Kisan Scheme.
PM Kisan Yojana: PM Kisan Yojana, also called Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, is a Central Government scheme launched on December 1, 2018 that is fully funded by the Government of India and provides financial aid to the farmers of the country.
Under this scheme, eligible land-holding farmer families receive income support totaling Rs 6,000 annually, distributed in three equal installments directly deposited into their bank accounts.
Last month, PM Narendra Modi transferred the 16th installment of PM Kisan Yojana — Rs 2,000 — was deposited directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
However, not all farmers get the benefit of the PM Kisan Scheme. This may be because they haven't fulfilled the necessary conditions required for the scheme.
If you're one of them then it is important for you to know certain conditions so that you can also avail the benefit of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
PM Kisan Yojana: How to apply?
All eligible land-holding farmers, who are still deprived of the benefits of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, can self-register under 'Farmers Corner' on PM Kisan Portal i.e. pmkisan.gov.in.
PM Kisan Yojana: Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant should have agricultural land.
- Land should be registered in the name of the applicant (before 01.02.2019).
- Applicant's bank account should be linked to Aadhaar and NPCI (DBT Enabled).
PM Kisan Yojana: Who is not eligible?
Those farmers -
- whose family member is already a beneficiary of this scheme.
- who do not have their own cultivable land
- whose age is less than 18 years as of 01.02.2019
- who is the owner of the institutional land
- if the applicant/other family members are NRIs
- whose family members are holding constitutional posts
- whose family members have been former/present ministers of the Centre/State
- whose family member has been the Chairman of Zilla Parishad, Mayor of Municipal Corporation/present/former member of Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, Legislature
- whose family members are working/retired officers/employees of Central/State Government departments and regional offices/public undertakings/present/former officers and employees (except Class IV employees) of any government attached/autonomous institution.
- whose family members are all retired employees of the institute mentioned in the above paragraph and whose monthly pension is Rs 10,000 or more (except fourth-class employees).
- whose family member has paid income tax in the last year
- whose family member is registered with a professional body related to Doctor/Engineer/Lawyer/Chartered Accountant/Architect and is practicing.

For more information, farmers can contact their Farmer Advisor/Agriculture Coordinator/Block Agriculture Officer/Subdivision Agriculture Officer and District Agriculture Officer. It should be noted that only one member of a family can be the beneficiary of this scheme.
