PM Modi releases 15th installment of PM KISAN scheme: Here's how to check status on pmkisan.gov.in

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Latest Update: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today released the 15th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. This enabled the transfer of an amount of Rs 18,000 crore to more than eight crore farmers across the country.

PM transferred the money from Birsa College ground in Jharkhand's Khunti district on the occasion of tribal icon Birsa Munda's birth anniversary and the third ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas'.

During the event, PM Modi also launched the Rs 24,000-crore Pradhan Mantri Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PM PVTG) Mission for the holistic development of around 28 lakh PVTGs in the country.

What is PM Kisan Yojana?

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a Central Sector scheme with 100 per cent funding from the Government of India that had become operational from December 1, 2018. It is one of the world's largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes, which aims to support farmers in meeting their agricultural and other incidental needs.

Under this scheme, income support of Rs 6,000 per year in three equal installments has been provided to all land-holding farmer families. The fund is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

To check the status of the beneficiaries need to follow the below-given steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of PM Kisan Yojana - https://pmkisan.gov.in.
Step 2: Find the option of 'Farmers Corner', available on the homepage.
Step 3: Within the Farmers Corner section, click on the Beneficiaries List option.
Step 4: Select State, District, Sub District, Block, and Village from the drop-down list.
Step 5: Click on 'Get Report'.
Step 6: The complete list of beneficiaries will appear, in which you can check your name.
