PAN-Aadhaar Link: Today is the last day to link PAN with Aadhaar by paying less penalty fee. After June 30, individuals will have to pay a double fine of Rs 1000 for linking PAN-Aadhaar. The government has made it mandatory for every citizen of the country to link PAN with Aadhaar. According to the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), as per Section 234H of the Income Tax Act, those who do not link Aadhaar-PAN by March 31, 2022, will have a chance to link it with a fine till March 31, 2023.
Although the deadline for linking PAN-Aadhaar was extended in March 2022, but the CBDT has imposed a penalty of Rs 500 for the first three months and the fee will be doubled after June 30, 2022, till March 31, 2023.
According to the notification of CBDT, if a person does not link his/her PAN card with his/her Aadhaar card by March 2023, then from April 2023 that person's PAN card will become invalid.

Pan-Aadhar Link: How to Check?
Step 1: Visit the Income Tax Department's official website - www.incometax.gov.in.
Step 2: Find the option of 'Quick Links', available on the left side of the homepage page.
Step 3: Click on "Link Aadhaar Status."
Step 4: Enter the required details - PAN and Aadhaar numbers.
Step 5: After filling out the form, select "View Link Aadhaar Status."
Step 6: Your Aadhaar-status PAN's will be shown on the page.
Note: If they are linked, your PAN (PAN Aadhaar) is associated with your Aadhaar number (Aadhar Number).
In case, you will find that your PAN card is not linked with Aadhar then you can do it manually through your laptop or mobile by following the steps given below.
Pan-Aadhar Link: How to Link Aadhaar with PAN Card?
Step 1: Visit the Income Tax e-filing website - https://www.incometax.gov.in/.
Step 2: Find the option of 'Quick Links', available on the left side of the homepage page.
Step 3: Click on the 'Link Aadhaar' option.
Step 4: Enter the required details - PAN card number, Aadhar number and name.
Step 5: After giving this information, an OTP will be sent to you.
Step 6: Entering the OTP,
Step 7: Your Aadhaar and PAN will be linked.
