The banks will remain closed for a number of days in the month of November. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issues a list of holidays for the banks in different cities.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issues a list of holidays for the banks in different cities. On these days, the bank customers will not be able to withdraw and deposit money at their respective bank branches.

It has to be noted that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), grants holidays to the banks under three categories. They are Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.
On November 1, 2021, the banks will remain closed in Bengaluru and Imphal on the occasions of Kannada Rajyostsava and Kut, respectively.
On November 3, 2021, the banks will remain closed in Bengaluru on the occasion of Naraka Chaturdashi.
On November 4, 2021, the banks will remain closed in all the cities except Bengaluru on the occasions of Diwali Amavasaya (Laxmi Pujan)/Deepavali/Kali Puja.
On November 5, 2021, the banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Nagpur on the occasions of Diwali (Bali Pratipada)/Vikram Samvant New Year Day/Govardhan Pooja.
On November 6, 2021, the banks will remain closed in Gangtok, Imphal, Kanpur, Lucknow and Shimla on the occasions of Bhai Duj/Chitragupt Jayanti/Laxmi Puja/Deepawali/Ningol Chakkouba.
On November 10, 2021, the banks will remain closed in Patna and Ranchi on the occasions of Chhath Puja//Surya Pashti Dala Chhath (Sayan ardhya).
On November 11, 2021, the banks will remain closed in Patna on the occasion of Chhath Puja.
On November 12, 2021, the banks will remain closed in Shillong on the occasion of Wangala Festival.
On November 19, 2021, the banks will remain closed in Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla and Srinagar on the occasions of Guru Nanak Jayanti/Karthika Purnima.
On November 22, 2021, the banks will remain closed in Bengaluru on the occasion of Kanakadasa Jayanthi.
On November 23, 2021, the banks will remain closed in Shillong on the occasion of Seng Kutsnem.
Apart from the above-mentioned holidays, the banks will also remain closed on November 13, 2021 and November 27, 2021 due to second and fourth Saturdays. The banks will also remain closed on November 7, 14, 21 and 28 because of Sundays.
It can be noted that online banking services will continue to operate on holidays as well. Bank customers will not be able to withdraw and deposit money at the bank branches due to the holidays. However, ATMs, mobile banking will also be available during these days.
