Odisha Police has invited applications from male candidates for filling up of 73 vacancies in 2nd OSAP Battalion, Jharsuguda and 28 vacancies in 5th OSAP Battalion, Baripada in the rank of Gurkha sepoys in Odisha Special Armed Police 2nd Battalion Jharsuguda and 5th OSAP Battalion Baripada in Odisha. The interested and eligible candidates should fill the application in the prescribed format and send their filled up applications to Office of the Commandant, OSAP 2nd Battalion, Jharsuguda by October 31, 2019.

Educational Qualification

A candidate must have passed Class 7th or equivalent examination from any recognized institution. Those who have qualified HSC or equivalent examination would be given preference.

Age Limit

Applicants’ age should be between 18 and 25 years as on January 1, 2019 while the relaxation of age will be applicable to Ex-Army personnel as per the existing norms.

7th pay commission Pay scale

Monthly remuneration of Rs 9,000 during the period of contractual appointment and the consolidated remuneration will be enhanced by 10% on completion of each year of service. On regular appointment, the candidates shall be entitled to draw the time scale of pay in 7th Pay Commission, 2017, DA and other allowances as admissible in the corresponding pay matrix, 2017.
