7th Pay Commission: Important DA, DR, arrears news for government employees of this state
Further, the order makes it clear that, "However, Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief at current rates i.e. 17% will continue to be paid."
It's an important news in terms of Dearness Allowance (DA) under 7th Pay Commission salary of government employees in the state of Haryana. A notification/order has been issued by Finance Department of Government of Haryana. The order has been issued on 6th July. The subject of the order by by Finance Department of Government of Haryana is - "Freezing of Dearness Allowance to Haryana Government employees and Dearness Relief to Haryana Government pensioners at current rates till July, 2021".
As per the order, "...it has been decided that additional installment of Dearness Allowance payable to Haryana Government employees and Dearness Relief payable to Haryana Government pensioners, due from 1st January, 2020 shall not be paid."
Moreover, the order states, "The additional instalments of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief due from 1st July, 2020 and 1st January, 2021 shall also not be paid."
Further, the order makes it clear that, "However, Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief at current rates i.e. 17% will continue to be paid."
The order adds, "As and when the decision to release the future instalment of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief due from 1st July, 2021 is taken by the Government, the rates of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief as effective from 1st January, 2020 and 1st January, 2021 will be restrored prospectively and will be subsumed in the cumulative revised rates effective from 1st July, 2021."
"No arrears for the period from 1st January, 2020 till 30th June, 2021 shall be paid," the order by by Finance Department of Government of Haryana said.
Recently, the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh had scrapped all six allowances. Earlier, the payment of six categories of allowances to its employees and teachers were deferred for one year. The government also scrapped some other allowances, including the one paid for promotion of e-governance in all the departments of the secretariat. A decision to scrap these allowances was taken by the state cabinet.
