7th Pay Commission: The Central Government has given big Diwali 2019 gift to the government employees of this state as announced by Home Minister Amit Shah.
7th Pay Commission: The Central Government has given big Diwali 2019 gift to the Jammu and Kashmir government employees. The Union Territory employees will now get the 7th CPC benefits as the Home Minister Amit Shah has decided to extend the 7th Pay Commission benefits to the UT employees. The 7th CPC benefit will be given to Ladakh UT government employees also. The Ministry of Home Affairs has accepted the 7th Pay Commission recommendations for the J&K and Ladakh UT government employees. The 7th CPC benefits to J&K and Ladakh UT employees will become applicable from 31st October 2019.
The Home Ministry has issued a circular in this regard. Due to the Ministry of Home Affairs' decision to implement the 7th Pay Commission's recommendations in the J&K and Ladakh Union Territory, there will be an additional burden of Rs 4,800 crore on the government expenditure.

After the implementation of 7th Pay Commission benefits to the J&K and Ladakh UT employees, their monthly salary is expected to skyrocket from next month. Now, the minimum basic salary of the J&K and Ladakh UT employees will rise to Rs 18,000 from existing Rs 7,000 per month. Secretary-level employees working in those UTs will now get Rs 2.25 lakh maximum monthly salary instead of existing Rs 1,80,000 means a hike of up to Rs 45,000.
After the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission in J&K and Ladakh, the incremental policy of these two UT government employees will also get changed. Now, these UT government employees will get DA increment from 1st January and 1st July every year as per the central government employees and they will get annual increments as in sync with the 7th CPC norms means from 1st January and 1st July every year. Now, the government employees of these UTs will get Rs 25 lakh as an advance for house construction, gratuity will grow 100 times from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh and their Ex-gratia will go up from Rs 10-20 lakh bracket to Rs 25-45 lakh.
