Bank holidays in November 2023, Guru Nanak Jayanti bank holiday: Private and public bank branches in several parts of the country will remain shut on today, November 27 on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti/Karthika Purnima/Rahas Purnima, according to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) website, rbi.org.in.

Banks will remain closed in many states and cities. These are: Agartala, Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Telangana, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, and Srinagar.

• Diwali (Bali Pratipada)/Deepavali/Vikram Samvant New Year Day/Laxmi Puja: November 14 
• Bhaidooj/Chitragupt Jayanti/Laxmi Puja (Deepawali)/Ningol Chakkouba/Bhratridwitiya: November 15 
• Chhath (Morning Arghya): November 20

These holidays will not be uniformly applied across the country and will vary from region to region as some holidays will be observed nationwide as public holidays while others will be treated as local holidays.
