Vedanta rises after Board announces interim dividend; approves copper rod plant for Saudi Arabia
Vedanta Board on Thursday announced a first interim dividend of Rs 11/share. The Board said that Rs 4,089 crore will be spent on the dividend payment.
Vedanta Share Price: Vedanta shares jumped over 1.50 per cent on BSE on Friday (May 17, 2024) in the first session after the mining firm announced an 1100 per cent interim dividend.
The stock that closed at Rs 433.20 in the previous session jumped by 1.51 per cent to the Friday's high of Rs 439.75.
Vedanta shares were trading flat at Rs 433.70 each at 9:26 am on Friday.
The Vedanta Board on Thursday announced a first interim dividend of Rs 11/share.
The Board said that Rs 4,089 crore will be spent on the dividend payment.
It will raise up to Rs 8,500 crore through securities.
The Board also approved setting up a copper rod plant in Saudi Arabia.
The Board also approved investment in Vedanta Copper International.
