Dividend stock: This midcap IT company announces 500% payout

Mphasis dividend 2023: Bengaluru-headquartered midcap IT company Mphasis's board on Thursday announced a dividend of Rs 50 per equity share of the face value of Rs 10, i.e, a 500 per cent payout for the financial year 2022-23. "Board of Directors have recommended a final dividend of Rs. 50 per equity share, for the financial year ended 31st March 2023, subject to your approval at this meeting.," the company's regulatory filing said.

Mphasis shares finished up over 2 per cent at Rs 2213.3 apiece on BSE after the Q1 earnings announcement. Mphasis's stock has given a negative return of nearly 2 per cent in the last 12 months (from July 21, 2022). In comparison, the headline index Nifty 50 has rallied nearly 21 per cent. Mphasis has a market capitalisation of 41,732.55 crore. The counter's 52-week high and low range from Rs 2,444.75 to Rs 1,660.65.
