MCX shares plunge after CTO resigns

MCX share price NSE: Shares of Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) ended with a nearly 7 per cent correction to Rs 1,390.15, down by Rs 97.5 on NSE on Wednesday. The trend follows after Shashank Sathe, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) resigned from the company.

MCX in a regulatory filing on Tuesday said that Shashank Sathe has tendered his resignation from the post of CTO of the company on account of personal reasons and for better prospects.

In the interim, Dr N Rajendran, Chief Digital Officer of the company has been advised to look after the portfolio of the CTO, the company informed the bourses. Dr N Rajendran has been with the Company since November 2021. Prior to joining MCX, he worked as a CEO & Director of Indian Financial Technology & Allied Services (RBI Subsidiary) and as a CTO of National Payments Corporation of India.
