Tata Power: Shares of the Tata Group utility company ended over 10 per cent higher at Rs 332.15. The stock has been upgraded by JM Financial in its report to a buy.
LIC: Amid a bull run anticipated for most PSU stocks given the ruling party's win in state assembly elections, LIC shares zoomed to fresh 52-high and ended over 5 per cent higher at Rs 785.45 per share.
Sugar stocks: Sugar stocks today saw a correction after raw sugar prices dropped 7 per cent to a five-month low amid reports that the government plans to curb ethanol production from sugarcane as India battles a sugar shortage in the domestic market. Uttam Sugar Mills fell up to 9 per cent to Rs 408.35 per share.
Bharti Airtel: Amid a buzz on the likely bulk deal in the counter, the scrip ended with a cut of over 2 per cent at Rs 1000.
Natco Pharma: Shares of the pharma major ended with mild losses as the company temporarily closed its Chennai-based plant.
PSP Projects: Shares of the civil construction company ended a tad higher at Rs 779.1 after it received an order worth Rs 102 crore.
One97 Communications: Shares of the Paytm operator ended with a cut of over 18 per cent at Rs 661.3 after the company decided to overhaul its credit offerings in view of the RBI's recent guidelines.
ITI Ltd.: This was another PSU stock which saw intense buying interest and ended over 10 per cent higher at Rs 300.15 per share.
Adani Wilmar: Ended a tad lower at Rs 395.45 in today's session. As per media reports, Adani and Singapore based Wilmar International are approaching PE players to pare some of their stake in Adani Wilmar.
Ircon International: Shares of the PSU ended over 6 per cent lower at Rs 782.5 as the government decide to offload 8 per cent stake in the company via OFS at a floor price of Rs 154 per share.
