Dividend, stock split stock: Bharat Dynamics board meets today to consider payout, share split

Dividend, Stock split stock, Bharat Dynamics dividend record date: Bharat Dynamics shares surged on Thursday as investors awaited the outcome of a meeting of the defense equipment maker's board scheduled to take place during the course of the day to consider dividend- and share split-related proposals. The stock rose by as much as Rs 65, or 4.0 per cent, to Rs 1684.8 apiece on BSE. 

The company's board will decide on the payment of interim dividend for the financial year 2023-24 and sub-division of its equity shares.

"Board of Directors of the Company is rescheduled to Thursday, 21st March 2024 inter—alia to consider and approve-(a) Payment of Interim Dividend for the financial year 2023-24; (b) Sub-division / Split of Equity Shares of the company pursuant to the provisions of section 61(1)(d) of the Companies Act,2013," according to a regulatory filing dated March 5.

The company has fixed a new record date of April 2 to decide the eligibility of shareholders for payment of an interim dividend for the financial year 2023-24, instead of the original date of March 26, if declared by the board.

"The Company has changed the 'Record Date' to Tuesday, 02nd April 2024 for the purpose of payment of Interim Dividend on Equity Shares for the Financial Year 2023-24, if declared by the Board," the filing added.
