Share Market Today LIVE: The Nifty50 finally broke the hurdle and scaled an all-time peak of 19,011.25 on Wednesday, June 28. The S&P BSE Sensex also hit a fresh all-time high of 64,050.44.
Besides, Indian financial markets — the capital as well as the money markets — will remain closed on Thursday, June 29 for Bakra Eid (Bakrid). Trading in the equity, derivatives, securities lending and borrowing (SLB), and currency derivative segments on bourses BSE and NSE, along with the forex market, will resume the next day, June 30. HEADLINE INDICES AT RECORD CLOSING HIGHS | Sensex leaps 499 pts to 63,915, Nifty at 18,972
Both main hold on to much of their intraday gains by the end of the strong session. The Nifty ends with a gain of 154.7 points or 0.8 per cent at 18,972.1 and the Sensex shuts shop at 63,915.4, up 499.4 points or 0.8 per cent from its previous close.

In an interim relief to IIFL Securities, the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) has stayed market regulator Sebi's order that banned the broking house from onboarding new clients for two years. The order came after IIFL Securities, earlier known as India Infoline Ltd, filed an appeal against the order passed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi).
In an order uploaded on its website on Wednesday, the appellate tribunal has stayed the order passed by Sebi. The matter has been listed for final disposal on August 23.

It took 625 days for Nifty 50 to cover 1,000 points journey to 19,000. The Sensex followed suit, scaling an unprecedented 64,000 level mid-broad-based buying on Dalal Street.

IT major Wipro on Tuesday extended the closing date for its Rs 12,000 crore buyback offer due to the shift in stock market holiday to June 29, Thursday on the occasion of Bakra Eid. Wipro's buyback that opened on June 22 will now close on June 30, Friday instead of June 29, Thursday. As per Wipro's regulatory filing, the company said, "On account of change in the working day from June 29, 2023, to June 28, 2023, SEBI vide its email dated June 27, 2023, has allowed extension in the tendering period by 1 (one) working day. Accordingly, the Buyback Closing Date will be Friday, June 30, 2023, instead of Thursday, June 29, 2023." Read more

Shares of cigarettes-to-hotels conglomerate ITC trade at 447.7 or Rs 2 or 0.45 per cent on NSE. The company, whose popular cigarette brands include Classic, Gold Flake, Insignia, American Club, India Kings, and Wills Navy Cut, has acquired 857 compulsorily convertible preference shares of Rs 10 each of Mother Sparsh at a consideration of Rs 11.54 crore.
The counter rose as much as over 1 per to touch the day's high of Rs 450.40 from the previous close of Rs 445.1 on the NSE. According to the company's communiqué, ITC now holds 26.50 per cent of Mother Sparsh’s share capital. Read more
