Nifty50 has tested immediate hurdle of 100-day exponential moving average around 19,276: Religare Broking's Ajit Mishra
Ajit Mishra of Religare Broking reiterates a cautious view on the Nifty50 and suggests waiting for a decisive break above 19,400 for a sustained recovery. "Else, the upmove would fizzle out," he says.
"However, there is no shortage of stock-specific opportunities so traders should maintain their focus on stock selection," Mishra adds.

Zomato shares build on their intraday gains after the food delivery company reports a consolidated net profit of Rs 36 crore for the July-September period, a second back-to-back profitable quarter, as against a consolidated net loss of Rs 251 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago. Its revenue for the second quarter of the current financial year comes in at Rs 2,848 crore, an increase of 71.5 per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing.
Zomato shares gain by as much as Rs 7, or 6.5 per cent, to Rs 114.5 apiece on BSE minutes after the earnings announcement.
In August, the company posted its first-ever quarterly profit, one quarter earlier than expected, helped by a tax gain and strong orders in its food and grocery delivery businesses.

The Titan stock rises by as much as Rs 85.4, or 2.7 per cent, to Rs 3,286.7 apiece on BSE minutes after the earnings announcement.

The country's largest lender by assets is scheduled to report its Q2 results on Saturday, November 4.
According to Zee Business research, the state-run banking behemoth is expected to report a net interest income (NII), or the difference between interest earned and interest paid, of Rs 39,111 crore for the quarter ended September, translating into a year-on-year increase of 11.3 per cent.

The pan-European STOXX 600 index begins the day in the green, and is on track to log its best week since March, led by automobile stocks as optimism around a likely end to monetary policy tightening by major central banks boosted sentiment. The gauge is up 0.3 per cent few minutes into the trading day, also supported by upbeat earnings and signs of slowing inflation.
Investors' hopes of interest rates having peaked were underpinned by recent holds by the Federal Reserve, Bank of England, European Central Bank and others.
