According to the company, its bottomline surged around five per cent year-on-year (YoY) and revenue from operation grew by 6.5 YoY. The company has also declared an interim dividend of Rs 3 for its shareholders.
"...the Board of Directors has declared an Interim Dividend of Rs.3/-per equity share [30%] for the financial year ending 31st March 2024," the company said in an exchange filing.
MRF Dividend 2023: Record Date
The tyre manufacturer has also fixed the record date and ex-date for the distribution of the interim dividend. According to the company, November 17 has been fixed as an ex-date and record date for the payment of interim dividend.
"The Company has fixed Friday, 17th November 2023 17.11.2023], as the record date for the purpose of payment of Interim Dividend," the filing reads.
The record date is the cut-off date established by a company to determine the eligibility of shareholders for the payment of dividends.
Meanwhile, MRF Ltd announced its September quarter results on Friday (November 3, 2023), reporting a 351.71 per cent jump in its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 586.66 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year from Rs 129.86 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The company's revenue from operations jumped to Rs 6217.10 crore in Q2 from Rs 5826.30 crore year-on-year (YoY).
MRF Share Price
After the company announced dividend, the tyremaker's stock fell on BSE.
The stock was trading lower by 2.02 per cent, or Rs 2,235.30, at Rs 1,08277.10, on BSE at 13:05 on Friday.
