Gold and Silver price today (December 11, 2023): Precious metals trade lower; Gold below Rs 62,000

Gold and Silver price today (December 11, 2023): Domestic precious metal futures traded lower early on Monday.

"This week, major central banks will release their policy statement that includes the Federal Reserve, ECB, and the BoE. The expectation is that the central bank could keep rates on hold but the commentary from the governor will be important to watch and gauge a view for the major crosses," said Gaurang Somaiyaa, Forex and Bullion Analyst, Motilal Oswal Financial Services.

Last seen, MCX gold futures (Feb 5) were down 0.27 per cent or Rs 164 at Rs 61,555 per 10 grams at the last count, having traded between Rs 61,555 and Rs 61,860 earlier in the day. Silver futures (Mar 5) down 0.32 per cent or Rs 233 at Rs 72,285 per kg.

In the international market, COMEX gold was down 0.11 per cent at $ 2012.2 per ounce.
