Final Trade: Nifty Sinks Below 15,400, Sensex Drops 1000 Points

Indian market extended weakness to fifth day as benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex closed with around two per cent cuts today. This comes after a day when the US Fed announced the interest rate hike by 75 basis points, largely on the expected lines. There was a fall of 1,045.60 points in the Sensex and the index closed at the level of 51,495.79. Apart from this, there is a huge decline in the Nifty 50 index as well. Nifty 50 saw a decline of 331.60 points and the index closed at 15,360.60.
