BPCL, Hindustan Zinc are among the four highest dividend paying companies this year. These four companies rewarded shareholders with dividend yield of up to 22% and dividend of up to Rs 165 per equity share.
The companies are Hindustan Zinc, BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd), Polyplex Corp Ltd and Coal India. The names of the companies have been identified under 'highest dividend paying company of the year' category for Zee Business Stock Award 2021.

Polyplex Corp has emerged as the undisputed winner in this category with a dividend of Rs 165 and dividend yield of 9 per cent. At 12.45 pm, shares of Polyplex were trading at Rs 1,883.80 per share on the NSE, a minor gain of Rs 2.40 or 0.13% on the NSE. Shares of this company has gained whooping 161.87% or Rs 1,161.15 per share to Rs 1,881.00 as on December 31, 2021.
Next in the line of companies to award maximum dividend is a government-owned oil and gas company Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). This oil & gas company paid dividend of Rs 84 per equity share at the dividend yield of 22% to its shareholders this year.
At 12.50 pm, shares of BPCL were trading at Rs 387.10, a gain of Rs 9.15 or 2.42%. BPCL though stands second in the list of highest dividends paying companies of the year 2021, but the shares of this company have given almost no return in the past 12 months. Shares barely gained Rs 17 or 4.50% in the last one year on December 2021.
Hindustan Zinc and Coal India were close with Rs 18 and Rs 17.5 per share dividend respectively. While former's dividend yield stood at 5.7%, latter paid dividend at 11.5% dividend yield. Hindustan Zinc shares appreciated around 30%, while stocks of Coal India gained 8.5% during this period.
