BPCL dividend announcement: BPCL announces Rs 21/share payout, sets December 12 as record date

BPCL dividend news, BPCL board meeting for dividend: State-run oil marketing company Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) on Wednesday announced an interim dividend of Rs 21 per share for the financial year ending March 2024, a 210 per cent payout given the face value of Rs 10 per share, sending its shares soaring to a fresh 52-week high.

BPCL shares gained by as much as Rs 10, or 2.4 per cent, to Rs 434.3 apiece.

When will the BPCL dividend be paid?

"It may kindly be noted that the above dividend would be paid or the warrant in respect thereof would be posted on or before 28th December 2023... The meeting of the Board of Directors commenced at 10:00 am and concluded at 11:05 am,"  BPCL said in a regulatory filing. 

Mumbai-headquartered Bharat Petroleum Corporation's shares recovered their intraday losses after the dividend announcement, 0.26 per cent lower at Rs 423.4 on BSE.

BPCL in a regulatory filing said, "Pursuant to Regulation 29(2) of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, this is to inform you that a meeting of the Board of Directors would be held on Wednesday, 29th November 2023, to consider the proposal of declaration of interim dividend for the Financial Year 2023-24 and fixation of Record date."
