According to a communique by the company to the exchanges, the board is also likely to consider announcing an interim dividend for its investors when it meets to approve the unaudited financial results for the October-December quarter of the cyrrent financial year.
The dividend is a corporate action. A stock dividend is an amount that is paid in cash to shareholders by a listed company. The stock dividend is basically rewarding shareholders without reducing the cash balance of the company.
"Board of Directors will be held over January 12-13, 2023 to consider and approve....declaration of interim dividend, if any, for the financial year 2022-23..," the company said in an exchange filing.

Wipro Dividend 2023 Ex Date
Wipro shares will trade ex-date a day prior to its record date. On an ex-date, a stock trades without the benefit of the next scheduled dividend payment.
An ex-date is a cut-off date for buying a stock to receive dividend or benefits of others corporate actions. To receive dividend, an investor will have to buy Wipro stock before it trades ex-date.
