We have collated a list of stocks from the ICICIdirect report in which fund managers bought and sold the most across large, mid, and smallcap space in December.
December turned out to be a volatile month for equity markets, but bulls managed to push benchmark indices higher by over 2 per cent each helped by strong inflows by domestic investors.
Inflows into equity funds came in at a record high at Rs 25000 crore in December 2021. Even if we exclude new fund offer NFO) also, inflows were at a multi-year high at Rs 12600 crore, data showed.
Mutual Fund SIP contribution in the month of December 2021 touched another all-time high of Rs. 11,305 cr. This is the 9th consecutive month of a new all-time high for monthly SIP contributions.
Number of SIP accounts for Dec 2021 are 4,90,78,547, going up from November 2021 of 4,78,24,469. This shows a month on month change of 12,54,078.
SIP AUM as at the end of the December 2021 month is Rs 5,65,420.04 crore witnessing a surge Rs 5,46,683.12 crores from November 2021, AMFI data showed.
Assets under management (AUM) of the domestic mutual fund industry, excluding domestic fund of funds (FoF), surged further in 2021 to close at a record Rs 37.73 lakh crore, CRISIL data showed.

Fund managers across AMC raised stakes in stocks like IRCTC, Indus Tower, One97 Communications, JSW Energy, and Tata Power Company.
Selling was seen in stocks like PB Fintech, Macrotech Developers, FSN E-Commerce, Eicher Motors, and JSW Steel etc. among others.
Midcap
Fund managers across AMC raised stakes in stocks like CRISIL, Indiamart Intermesh, L&T Finance Holdings, Bandhan Bank, REC etc.
Selling was seen in Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Bank of India, IEX, Dizon Technologies, and Indian Bank etc. among others.
Smallcaps
Fund managers across AMC raised stakes in stocks like HFCL, Data Patterns, IIFL Wealth Management, Mahanagar Gas, and Safari Industries etc. among others.
Selling was seen in RBL Bank, PNB Housing, BSE, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Welspun India, Mayur Uniquoters, and Navneet Education etc. among others.
