Tata Motors, Tata Elxsi IGL to GAIL- here are top Buzzing Stocks today

After starting the day with marginal cuts amid initial volatility, the domestic stock markets moved in the green zone. The S&P BSE, which Sensex opened low at 49,228.26 and touched the high of 49,328.50 & low of 49,079.57 was trading at 15.13 points or 0.03% up at 49,284.45 at 12.26 pm. Similarly, Nifty 50 index which opened at 14,473.80 touched the high of 14,525.80 and low of 14,432.85 was trading at 29.10 points or 0.2% up at 14,513.85 at 12.27 pm. 

Auto stocks were the lead Nifty 50 gainers with Tata Motors and Eicher Motors rising 9.95% and 4.05%. Following the trend, certain stocks were in action - depending on the type of news related to it - and have an impact on the indices. Here is a list of buzzing stocks today:

Tata Group Stocks in Action

Tata Motors (10.17% up): Tata Motors stocks were trading higher as the company in its release said the Jaguar Land Rover sales have improved 13.1% quarter-on-quarter but it is down 9.0% year-on-year. China sales were particularly encouraging, up 20.2% on the prior quarter and 19.1% year-on-year. It also says that demand for electric vehicles continues to grow. BSE has also sought clarification from Tata Motors Ltd about the news that it was set to enter into a partnership with Tesla and that the electric vehicle giant may even take a stake in its passenger vehicle (PV) business.
Tata Elxsi (up 0.53%): Stocks of the company is performing well as its board is scheduled to meet tomorrow to discuss the financial performance of the Company. At the same time, other stocks of Tata Group, like Tata Metaliks (up 1.77%), Tata Steel (up 0.97%), Tata Power (up 3.30%) and Tata Chemicals (up 6.31%) among others, were also doing well on the stock exchange today. 

IGL (up 1.58%): + MGL (Up 0.31%) + GAIL (up 3.98%) in focus

IGL: Investment banking company UBS has upgraded Indraprastha Gas (IGL) two-notch from SELL to BUY target raised to Rs 650 from Rs 410. 
MGL: It has also upgraded Mahanagar Gas (MGL) from NEUTRAL to BUY target raised to Rs 1,300 from Rs 1,100. 
GAIL: It also raised its price target for UBS Key Call GAIL from Rs 140 to Rs 160 as it feels that gas utilities should benefit from higher gas demand

Auto Stocks: Ashok Leyland (up 3.85%), Eicher Motors (up 3.81%), Bajaj Auto (up 0.27%), Hero MotoCorp (up 1.99%) + Bosch (up 5.74%) were on move in the run to the budget.
