The domestic markets on Friday concluded negative as the benchmark indices – Sensex slipped by over 136 points and Nifty50 settled below the 15800-level amid weak global cues. On the contrary, Nifty mid-cap and small-cap closed positive by around 1 per cent higher on Friday

On the global front, the US indices closed higher on Friday, as Dow Jones jumped almost 1.5 per cent, Nasdaq and S&P 500 surged around 4 and 2.5 per cent at the close. In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei is trading higher nearly 0.5 per cent, while Hong Kong, China, and South Korea indices fall in the early morning trade.
