Dividend Stock: NBFC company announces 150% interim dividend - Check ex-date and record date

Dividend Stock: Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) Shriram Finance has announced to pay an interim dividend to its shareholders. As per the announcement, the company would pay a whopping 150 per cent dividend to its investors. This translates into Rs 15 dividend per equity share of the face value of Re 10 during the financial year 2022-23.

The company in its exchange filing said, "Declared an interim dividend of 150% i.e. Rs.15/- per equity share of face value Rs.10/- each fully paid up for the Financial Year 2022-23."

The company has fixed the record date as January 4, 2023. It means that investors having shares of the company in their Demat account on the record date would be eligible to receive the dividend amount.

Shriram Finance Dividend Ex-Date

Shriram Finance shares will trade ex-date a business day before the record date. An ex-date is a business day prior to the record date. Shriram Finance's ex-dividend date would be January 3. A person should buy a company's shares before the ex-date so that shares are credited to the Demat account before the record date to receive the benefits of corporate actions like dividend, bonus, split and others.

The company shall dispatch the dividend amount to all the shareholders on January 18.

The company in its exchange filing said, "The interim dividend payout will be made to eligible shareholders on or after Wednesday, January 18, 2023."
