Sensex reshuffle: Tata Motors to replace Dr Reddy’s, effective from December 19
Sensex reshuffle: Indian automotive manufacturer Tata Motors will replace pharmaceutical company Dr Reddy’s Laboratories in the 30-share benchmark S&P BSE Sensex effective Monday, December 19, 2022.
The reshuffle will be effective after the market closes on December 16, 2022. After the rejig, Sun Pharma will be the only healthcare stock in the Sensex. Tata Motors will become the third auto stock after Mahindra & Mahindra and Maruti Suzuki.

The recent reshuffle in the Sensex 30-pack is a part of the periodic reshuffle done in the index. The reshuffle happens twice a year -- June and December. It is based on float-adjusted market cap weighted methodology.
Meanwhile, shares of Tata Motors were trading marginally lower at 11 AM to quote Rs 422. Dr Reddy's Labs, on the other hand, fell over 2 per cent to trade at Rs 4340 apiece, tracking the announcement.
In another related development, Adani Total Gas and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited will be replaced by Adani Power and IHCL on the BSE 100 index.
