Nuvoco Vistas Corporation, Arvind Fashions to Hatsun Agro - here are top Buzzing Stocks today

After a gap-up start, the domestic equity markets were turned volatile in Monday’s noon deals and were trading with a gain of more than 0.20 per cent. At 1:03 pm the S&P BSE Sensex was trading with a gain of 181.13 points or 0.33 per cent at 55,510.45. The Nifty 50 index was trading 35.25 points or 0.21 per cent up at 16,485.75. Meanwhile, certain stocks were in action in either direction based on reports linked to them. Here is a list of few such stocks:

Nuvoco Vistas Corporation: The shares of India’s fifth-largest cement maker Nuvoco Vistas Corporation debuted the bourses today at Rs 485 per share against the issue price of Rs 570. The Rs 5,000 crore IPO was kept at Rs 570 per share and the issue was subscribed 1.71 times. Investors were allowed to make bids for a minimum of 26 equity shares and in multiples of 26 shares thereafter.

IndoStar Capital: Down 3.12%. The retail portion of IndoStar Capital’s offer for sale opened today for subscription. One of the promoters of IndoStar Capital Finance is selling about 61.90 lakh shares (representing a 5% stake) through an offer for sale. The company informed exchanges about its intention to exercise the oversubscription option in an offer to the extent of 6,13,321 equity shares in addition to 61.90 lakh equity shares forming part of the Base Offer Size. The floor price for the sale has been set at Rs 290 a share, which is about a 15.5% discount to Wednesday’s closing price of Rs 343.05. The stake sale will open for retail investors today. The OFS is being undertaken to meet the minimum public shareholding norms, as the total promoter holding in the company stands at 93.26%.

Cadila Healthcare: Up 4.95%. The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) has approved the DNA COVID-19 vaccine ZyCoV-D of Cadila Healthcare for restricted use in an emergency in India for 12 years and above. It was approved after evaluation of interim Phase III clinical trial results in consultation with the Subject Expert Committee of CDSCO. The vaccine has an efficacy of 66.6% and it is to be stored at 2 degrees Celsius to 8 degrees Celsius. The vaccine is needle-free to be administered intradermally in three doses at days 0, 28 and 56. 

Aurobindo Pharma: Up 1.26%. The Company had entered into binding agreements with Cronus Pharma Specialities India Private Limited (Cronus Pharma) for the acquisition of 51% ownership in Cronus Pharma by subscribing to 95,059,963 equity shares of Rs.10/- each at a premium of Rs.34.18 per equity share aggregating to Rs.420 crores. The deal was announced on August 12, 2021, and the stock had declined 20% since the deal was announced. Cronus is a Hyderabad based generic veterinary pharmaceutical products company engaged in the development, manufacturing and sale of veterinary pharmaceutical products.

Arvind Fashions: Up 9.74%. India's leading casual and denim manufacturer, Arvind Fashions Ltd (AFL), on Saturday said it has raised Rs 439 crore from various marquee investors including promoters by issuing equity shares of the company. The company’s board at its meeting held on Saturday approved the preferential allotment of 1.82 crore equity shares aggregating to various marquee investors including promoters at the price of Rs 218.50. Investors are Akash Bhanshali, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Ashish Dhawan, various foreign institutional investors including University of Notre Dame Du Lac, GP Emerging Markets Strategies LP, The Ram Fund LP, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and TIFF Global Equity Fund LP and other investors. Aura Merchandise, a promoter entity also participated in the preferential issue for an amount of Rs 40 crore, it added. 

SRF: Up 0.63%. The Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to meet on August 31, 2021, to consider and approve the issuance of bonus shares subject to approval by the shareholders of the Company.

Infosys: Up 0.12%. Finance Ministry has summoned Infosys MD and CEO, Salil Parekh today to explain why even after 2.5 months since the launch of the new Income Tax e-filing portal, glitches in it have not been resolved. He has been asked to explain it to Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman. In a tweet, Income Tax Department said, in fact, since August 21, 2021, the portal itself is not available. 

Vascon Engineers (down 4.53%)/Royal Orchid Hotels (down 0.64%): Royal Orchid Hotels Limited ('ROHL') have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Vascon Engineers Limited ('VEL') to acquire the remaining 50% stake in Cosmos Premises Pvt Ltd. in lieu of 100% stake in Rivershore Developers Pvt Ltd ('RSDPL') and settling of liabilities in the books of RSDPL on August 21, 2021. Vascon Engineers sells a 50% stake in Cosmos Premises Pvt Ltd for Rs 52.5 crore. Vascon Engineers buys 92% stake in River Shore Developers Private Limited from Royal Orchid Hotel. Royal Orchid Hotels sells 92% stake in River Shore Developers Private Limited for Rs 48.3 crore.

NTPC: Down 0.48%. State-owned power producer NTPC on Saturday said it has commissioned a 15 MW capacity at the floating solar PV project in Simhadri, Andhra Pradesh. With this, the installed capacity of the floating solar PV project at Simhadri stands at 25 MW.

Adani Enterprises: Down 1.27%. SEBI puts Adani Wilmar IPO on hold. Adani Wilmar has filed for a Rs 4,500 crore IPO. IPO on hold due to the investigation against Adani Enterprises. SEBI is investigating FPI holding in Adani Enterprises.
