No power crisis in Delhi, govt closely monitoring situation, says Union Minister RK Singh

The Minister also said that he has asked the Chief Executives of the discoms to not spread panic by sending messages.
Earlier today, a meeting at 12 PM was scheduled between the Union Minister, officials of BSES Delhi, Tata Power Delhi and other senior ministry officials on the power outage situation staring the national capital to deliberate on Coal Shortage and Power Crisis in Delhi and other parts in the country.
The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also tweeted on this on Friday.

Earlier, a Reuters report said that India`s oil ministry will facilitate gas supplies to enable two power plants in Delhi to operate, quoting the federal power ministry.

The city state warned of blackouts in the country`s capital due to a coal shortage, this report said.
State-run NTPC Ltd, India`s largest electricity producer, has also been directed to increase coal stocks to two coal-fired plants near Delhi to ensure sufficient supply, the top bureaucrat in the federal power ministry said, it further said.
