CTET Exam 2022 Date: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) examination dates. The exam, in Computer Based Mode (Online), began on December 18 and will end on February 7, 2023. The exams are being conducted at different cities throughout the country. This year a total of 32.45 lakh candidates have registered this year for CTET 2022.
What is CTET Exam 2022?
Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers.
The exam takes place twice a year and is for teachers who want to teach for the primary (1-5 class) level and for the upper primary (6-8 class) level.
"The Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi," the official website read.
CTET Exam: Eligibility Criteria
- National Council for Teacher Education (determination of minimum qualifications for persons to be recruited as education teachers and physical education teachers in pre-primary, primary, upper primary, secondary, senior secondary or intermediate schools or colleges) Regulations as amended and notified from time to time.

Minimum qualifications laid down in the Recruitment Rules for the teachers by the appropriate government where the school is situated or the recruitment rules for the teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangthan or Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
-The candidate should fulfil the eligibility before applying and shall be personally responsible in case is not eligible to apply as per the given eligibility criteria.
CTET 2022: Guidelines
- Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of paper, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, eraser, calculator, log table, electronic pen/scanner, cardboard, etc.
- Any communication devices like mobile phones, Bluetooth, earphones, microphones, pager, health band, etc.
- Any watch/wrist watch, wallet, goggles, handbags, gold/artificial ornaments, etc.
- Any other item which could be used for unfairness.
- The test will start exactly at the time mentioned in the Admit Card and the invigilator will make an announcement to this effect.
- For those who are unable to appear on the scheduled date of the test for any reason, a retest shall not be held by the CTET under any circumstances.
- During the examination, the invigilator will check to admit cards of all the candidates to verify the identity of the candidate.
