AP Grama and Ward Volunteer Recruitment 2020: Department of Gram and Ward Volunteers and Village and Ward Secretariat, Andhra Pradesh (AP) has released a notification in which they are inviting applications for the post of Grama and Ward Volunteer. AP Grama and Ward has announced more than 1000 vacancies in various district of AP including Srikakulam, East Godavari, Guntur, SPSR Nellore and Chittor.

Date for submission of online application for Srikakulam - From 29 August to 01 September 2020
Date for submission of online application for East Godavari - From 30 August to 04 September 2020

Vacancy Details:
Grama/ Ward Volunteer - 1036 Posts

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Candidates applying for the post should have knowledge on various Government Schemes, Programs,
welfare activities
2. Previous work experience on various Government Welfare Departments and programs/ NGOs/Federations/Social activities
3. Leadership qualities, good communication skills and general awareness
4. Soft Skills

Age Limit:
The age limit set for the candidates is between 18 to 35 years (There will be age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per govt norms)

Selection Criteria:
The selection shall be done on the basis of interview by the Selection Committee consisting of MPDO/ Tahsildar/EO (PR&RD).

Selection Process:
In case of Panchayats: All eligible applicants shall be called for interview by the Selection Committee consisting of MPDO/ Tahsildar / EO (PR&RD). The letter of engaging the services of selected Village Volunteers will be issued by the Chairman of the Selection Committee, i.e., the MPDOs
In case of Urban Local Bodies: All eligible applicants shall be called for interview by the Selection Committee consisting of Municipal Commissioner, Tahasildar and PO / TMC, MEPMA. The letter of engaging the services of selected Ward Volunteers will be issued by the Chairman of the Selection Committee, i.e., the Municipal Commissioner.

Positioning:
Positioning and Commencement of work by newly placed Village/Ward
Volunteers in the villages shall start from 1st May, 2020 onwards.
