Total vacancies: There is a total number of 100 vacancies for the position of Coach and 220 vacancies for the position of Assistant Coach in various disciplines including archery, athletics, shooting, wrestling, weightlifting, cycling, fencing, judo, volleyball and others.

Last date to apply: The interested candidates have to apply online by May 20, 2021.

Job type: The interested candidates must note that the candidates will be recruited for the posts of Coach and Assistant Coach purely on contract basis for an initial period of four years.

Pay scale: Coach - Rs 1,05,000 to Rs 1,50,000
                  Assistant Coach - Rs 41,420 to Rs 1,12,400

Age limit: The maximum age limit for application for the post of Assistant Coach is 40 years as on the last date of the submission of application. In case of the post for Coach, the maximum age limit should be 45 years as on the last date of the submission of the application.

How to apply?: The interested candidates can apply by logging in to the official website of SAI at sportsauthorityofindia.nic.in. The candidates must note that if applied for another post and found eligible for both posts, only higher post will be offered and the applicant will have no claim over the lower post.

Selection procedure: The selection of the candidates will be done through interview including oral test for discipline specific knowledge. In case, the number of candidates are more than five times of the vacancies, short-listing of candidates for interview will be carried out on the basis of approved criteria.
