Covid-19 pandemic: UPSC defers Combined Medical Services Exam 2021 notification – check details here

Covid-19 pandemic: As the coronavirus continues to wreak havoc, the Union Public Service Commission India has deferred the UPSC CMS notification 2021. It was scheduled to release on May 5, 2021. 

As per the UPSC website, it has flashed information stating, “The Combined Medical Services examination 2021 schedule to be notified on 5 May 2021 stands deferred till further notice.” 

It is advised to candidates that they can check the official notice on the UPSC website that is upsc.gov.in. 

According to officials, the new dates for its notification will be announced in due course of time after reviewing the covid-19 situation.  

Candidates who aim to apply for the CMS examination of UPSC should have cleared their written and practical parts of the final MBBS examination 2021.  

Moreover, a candidate, who is scheduled to appear for the final MBBS examination can too apply for the Union Public Service Commission Combined medical services examination 2021. 

As per the UPSC calendar, the CMS Exams notification was scheduled to be released on May 5. The last date to apply for the UPSC CMS exam was scheduled for May 25 and the examination was to be held on August 29, 2021, across the country. 

The Ministry of Education, on Monday, had asked, all the central universities and institutions to postpone all the offline examinations scheduled this month. The announcement was made in the wake of Covid-19 situation in the country.  

Similarly, NTA, on Tuesday, also deferred the Main examination, which was scheduled in June this year. As well as, National, state-level tests and Board exams have been cancelled in the country due to the surge in covid cases. 

India is battling the severe crisis of coronavirus, more than 3 lakh cases and around 3500 deaths have been reported almost every day since last two weeks.
