Primary teacher recruitment merit list: Attention primary teacher candidates! The merit list for the recruitment of primary teachers in the state of West Bengal is out. The candidates are delighted with the announcement of the merit list for primary teacher recruitment. The merit list is published within two months of the announcement from the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

As per a report by Zee 24 Ghanta digital, following the Chief Minister's announcement on December 11,2020, the West Bengal Board of Primary Education issued a notification for recruitment in 16,500 vacant posts on December 23, 2020.

It was also announced that the TET-qualified candidates with minimum educational and training qualification can apply for the posts.

As of now, merit list of 15,284 vacancies for the post of primary teachers in West Bengal has been declared.

The interview for the recruitment took place in the month of January and went on for almost a week.

The primary education board has also notified that very soon the process of giving out the appointment letter to the selected candidates will begin.
