Vacant positions: The National Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhubaneswar is looking to recruit faculty members in the fields of Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Earth & Planetary Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Computer Sciences and Humanities and Social Sciences (in the area of Economics/ English/ Philosophy/ Psychology/ Sociology) for the positions of Assistant Professor, Reader F and Associate Professor. The interested candidates must note that vacancies for these positions depend upon the sanctioned strength.

7th Pay Commission pay: The pay scale for the different positions are as follows:

Assistant Professor - Level 12 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix, Pay Progression (Rs 78,800 to Rs 2,09,200). Initial Basic Pay: Rs 78,800

Reader F - Level 13 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix, Pay Progression (Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900). Initial Basic Pay: Rs 1,23,100

Associate Professor - Level 13A of 7th CPC Pay Matrix, Pay Progression (Rs 1,31,100 to Rs 2,16,600). Initial Basic Pay: Rs 1,31,100

Qualifications: The required qualifications for the following positions are as follows:

Assistant Professor - Ph.D. in relevant field with three years of post-doctoral experience

Reader F - Ph.D. in relevant field with five years of post-doctoral experience

Associate Professor - Ph.D. in relevant field with eight years of post-doctoral experience

The interested eligible candidates must note that mere fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria mentioned may not entitle a candidate to be called for interview/seminar. It must be noted that the institute reserves the right to fix higher criteria for short-listing of applications for recruitment. Based upon the research credential, area of expertise, quality of publication and post-Doctoral experience, only the shortlisted candidates will be called for seminar/ interaction/ interview.
