New Delhi railway station is all set for massive transformation. India's largest and second busiest railway station, New Delhi will be going through a process of redevelopment. Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) and Indian Railway Station Development Corporation (IRSDC) have invited bids from the private companies.
Sharing some pictures of the magnificent project, Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted, "Envisaging an enriched passenger experience with complete integration of different modes of transport, take a look at the future of New Delhi Railway Station.”
Handling capacity: 400 trains, 4.5 lakh passengers daily
Bids for redeveloping the station into hospitality hub
RLDA has invited bids from private players to redevelop New Delhi railway station into an integrated commercial, retail and hospitality hub. A pre-bidding meeting was held in which firms like GMR, Adani, GMR, JKB Infra, Arabian Construction Company, Anchorage Infrastructure participated and expressed their interest in the project.
