Secunderabad to Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express: Indian Railways will rain the sixth Vande Bharat Express Train between Secunderabad and Vijayawada. The train will likely be extended to Visakhapatnam in February 2023.
Secunderabad to Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express, Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat: Indian Railways is all set to launch another Vande Bharat Express train. This would be the sixth Vande Bharat Express. The five others are - New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express; New Delhi-Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express; New Delhi-Chandigarh-Una Vande Bharat Express, Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat Express; Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express.
The sixth Vande Bharat Express will run between Secunderabad Railway Station in Telangana and Vijayawada in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
Secunderabad Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express Train Start Date, Route
According to a report by news agency IANS, the new generation Vande Bharat Express train between Secunderabad and Vijayawada will start from the new year.
The exact date of the launch of Vande Bharat Express train between Secunderabad and Vijayawada is yet to be finalised. The date will be announced after the railway authorities complete track upgradation.
Secunderabad to Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express Train will likely run via Kazipet route.
This will be the first such indigenously-built semi high-speed rail in South Central Railway (SCR) and the second in south India. The first Vande Bharat in south India was launched between Chennai and Mysuru in November.
The report said that the Ministry of Railways has given approval for Vande Bharat train on Secunderabad-Vijayawada route.
Senior BJP leader and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy is keen to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching the new Vande Bharat Express train between Secunderabad and Vijayawada. Reddy is a Lok Sabha MP from Secunderabad.
Secunderabad Vijayawada Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express Train
The report said that Indian Railways has plans to extend Secunderabad - Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express train to Visakhapatnam. The route extension will likely be done in February 2023.
A proposal to run Vanda Bharat Express between Secunderabad and Tirupati is also pending before Indian Railways.
The first Vande Bharat Express train was flagged off on the New Delhi-Kanpur-Allahabad-Varanasi route on February 15, 2019.
Vande Bharat Express Train Speed
The Vande Bharat Express can run up to a maximum commercial speed of 160 kmph. Currently, the train on Secunderabad-Vijayawada track via Kazipet can run at a maximum speed of 130 kmph.
Vande Bharat Express Train Facilities
The Vande Bharat Express has travel classes like Shatabdi Train, but with a better travel experience for passengers.
Each Vande Bharat has a total seating capacity of 1,128 passengers with all coaches equipped with automatic doors; a GPS-based audio-visual passenger information system, onboard hotspot Wi-Fi for entertainment purposes, and comfortable seating.
