What are Vande Bharat Express trains?
Vande Bharat Express is an indigenous, semi-high-speed train service operated by the Indian Railways, one of the largest employers in the world.
The first Vande Bharat Express train was flagged off on February 15, 2019, on the New Delhi-Kanpur-Allahabad-Varanasi route.
The train operates at speeds to the tune of 160 kilometers per hour.
The Vande Bharat trains boast a world-class travel experience, combining speed with comfort, with a host of top-tier amenities including degree rotating seats, and advanced safety features.
With the continued expansion of the Vande Bharat Express service, the Railways aims to further enhance connectivity across the country, contributing to economic growth and regional development.
The development and expansion of the Vande Bharat Express network aligns with the government's 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' (self-reliant India) vision.
As more routes are added and services expanded, the Vande Bharat Express will continue to play a pivotal role in transforming the travel experience for millions of passengers across the country.
