Central Railway Alert! Mumbai mega block on suburban sections on September 22 due to maintenance work; details inside
Up slow/semi-fast services leaving Kalyan from 10.36 am to 3.51 pm will be diverted on the UP fast line between Kalyan and Mulund stations, stopping at Dombivali, Diva, Mumbra, Kalwa, and Thane stations and UP at Mulund station. They will be diverted again on the slow line and will reach their destination 10 minutes behind the scheduled time.
Central Railway has announced a mega block in Mumbai on September 22 to complete various engineering and maintenance work on its suburban sections, according to a press release today, September 20.
Here is a list of all the railway lines which will be affected due to maintenance work:
Up and Down slow line between Thane and Kalyan stations from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm
Down slow/semi-fast services leaving Mulund from 10.43 am to 3.44 pm will be diverted on down fast line between Mulund and Kalyan stations, stopping at Thane, Kalwa, Mumbra, Diva, and Dombivali stations and will run 10 minutes late from the scheduled time. Therefore, the train will reach 10 minutes late to its destination.
Up slow/semi-fast services leaving Kalyan from 10.36 am to 3.51 pm will be diverted on the UP fast line between Kalyan and Mulund stations, stopping at Dombivali, Diva, Mumbra, Kalwa, and Thane stations and UP at Mulund station. They will be diverted again on the slow line and will reach their destination 10 minutes behind the scheduled time.
Thane Local will run on the down-slow line.
All up-and-down slow services departing/arriving CSMT Mumbai between 11.00 am to 5.00 pm will arrive/depart their destinations 10 minutes behind schedule.
On down slow line:
The last local before the block will be Titwala local which will depart from CSMT Mumbai at 09.53 am.
The first local after the block will be Badlapur local which will depart from CSMT Mumbai at 3.05 pm.
On the up-slow line:
The last local before the block will be Kalyan local which will depart from Kalyan at 10.25 am.
The first local after the block will be Parel local which will depart from Thane at 04.17 pm.
Up and Down Harbor Line between Kurla and Vashi stations from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm
Down Harbor Line services departing from CSMT Mumbai towards Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 10.34 am to 3.36 pm and up Harbor line services departing from Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 10.16 am to 3.47 pm towards CSMT Mumbai. Line services will remain cancelled.
Special suburban trains will run on CSMT Mumbai-Kurla and Panvel-Vashi sections during the block period.
Harbor Line passengers are allowed to travel between Thane-Vashi/Nerul stations from 10 am to 6 pm during the block period.
On the down harbour line
The last local before the block will be Panvel local which will depart from CSMT Mumbai at 10.18 am.
The first local after the block will be Panvel local which will depart from CSMT Mumbai at 3.44 pm.
On the up harbor line
The last local before the block for CSMT Mumbai will depart from Panvel at 10.05 am.
The first local after the block for CSMT Mumbai will depart from Panvel at 3.45 pm.
These maintenance mega blocks are essential for the maintenance and security of the infrastructure. Passengers are requested to cooperate with the railway administration for the inconvenience caused by this.
