Indian Railways has cancelled a host of trains from May 9, Sunday amid the surge in coronavirus cases across the country. 28 pairs of long-distance special train services have been cancelled by the authorities of the Indian Railways.

The reason behind the cancellation is the poor patronisation, low occupancy and surge in Covid 19 cases. According to the statement issued by the authorities, the special trains will be discontinued until further notice.
