#StarsOnZeeBusiness: Zee Business Managing Editor and market guru Anil Singhvi, during a Facebook live session with popular RJ Archana Jani, explained how the 2008 economic crisis can help us deal with the current situation created by the global outbreak of coronavirus, even though he believes that the latter is more serious. The ongoing lockdown has had an impact on several sectors in India and abroad, bringing even the strongest of economies to a halt.
“In comparison to 2008, this is a bigger crisis. The silver lining is that the governments and Central Banks have learned from the 2008 crisis that you need to inject money into the economy. So, United States is giving as much money as possible in the hands of its people. The 2008 crisis helped us understand partial solution for a situation like this,” Singhvi said.
Asked about best investment options right now, Singhvi said that you need to decide it on the basis of risk you are ready to take.
“If someone wanted to invest in stock markets, you are slightly late. Now, you need to wait before there is another correction. For those who invested a few weeks back, book profit now and be prepared to invest later on,” he said.
