The Delhi government has restarted its policy to provide the subsidy to the buyers of electric vehicles, a decision that was taken in a cabinet meeting on Thursday (November 28, 2024).
Buyers who have bought electric vehicles after January 1, 2024, will be given subsidy.
In the meeting, the Delhi government extended the EV Policy till March 31, 2025.
The policy was stopped after ex-chief minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, was sent to jail in the liquor excise scam.
As a result, those who were buying electric vehicles were not getting the subsidy.
In the meeting, it was decided that the discount will be available on all types of EVs.
