Aadhaar card related charges: From UIDAI enrolment, demographic to biometric update—Here is how much you need to pay for different mAadhaar services

Aadhaar card services-related charges: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) offers more than 35 services with mAadhaar. UIDAI has made available Aadhaar services at your doorsteps and has also offered one number 1947 for all your queries related to Aadhaar card. With Aadhaar card being the most important document that can be used for several purposes, UIDAI also charges some amount for Aadhaar services. However, new Aadhaar Enrolment and MBU at 5 and 15 years remain free.

The UIDAI took to Twitter to inform about these services. Here is how much you need to pay for different services offered by the Unique Identification Authority of India:
1. Aadhaar enrollment: This UIDAI service is still free of cost.
2. Mandatory Biometric update with or without demographic update is also free
3. Demographic Update: If you are looking to make changes or update name, address, date of birth, gender, mobile number and e-mail, the UIDAI will charge Rs 50 for these services.  
4. Biometric Update with or without Demographic Update: for this service, you will have to pay Rs 100.  It is to be noted that updation of one or more details (demographic/biometric) in single visit, will be considered as one update request.  

Also note that if you are asked to pay any extra amount for these services, you can register complaint at 1947.
