Visakhapatnam Railway Station: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Visakhapatnam on November 12 to lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of projects of Vishakhapatnam Railway Station. The redeveloped Vizag railway station will cater to 75,000 passengers per day and will improve the passenger experience by providing modern amenities.

The redevelopment of Visakhapatnam Railway Station will be done at a cost of Rs 450 crores.
The objective of the makeover is to provide passengers at Visakhapatnam Railway Station better facilities and to enhance their travel experience.
The proposed upgrades at Visakhapatnam Railway Station include state-of-the-art skywalks, which will allow passengers to move seamlessly between the platform and the Roof Plaza on the platform, which will connect the departure hall and common waiting areas.
The parking facility at the Visakhapatnam Railway Station will be equipped with an IoT-based parking management system that will allow passengers to book parking slots through the mobile app.
