IMD Weather Forecast: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather alerts to several parts of the country. The IMD has issued alerts predicting heavy rainfall and thunderstorm in certain states of the country.

The IMD has issued orange and yellow alerts predicting heavy rainfall, thunderstorm and lightning in Madhya Pradesh. Furthermore, in south India, several parts of Kerala also witnessed heavy rainfall. Due to this, the the MeT issuing a yellow alert for several districts, including Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Kottayam, Alappuzha and Ernakulam.
Now, coming to the northern part of the country, on Monday, the IMD, has issued a yellow alert for Delhi. In addition to that, the IMD has further forecasted a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain/thundershowers towards the evening. Again, on Tuesday, the IMD has issued an orange alert for Delhi and has forecasted of rain accompanied with gusty winds.
As for Uttar Pradesh, the MeT office predicted heavy rain at isolated places in the state of Uttar Pradesh on Monday. Additionally, thundershowers are likely at most places in the state on July 27 and July 28.
The MeT department has also predicted strong winds in the Gulf of Mannar region, Bay of Bengal, South Andaman Sea and parts of the Arabian Sea on various days from Sunday to July 29.
According to the forecast by the MeT department, moderate to heavy rainfall was expected in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts.
