UP govt approves 7th pay commission recommendations ahead of state elections
With the upcoming elections, the Samajwadi Party government is expected to make budgetary allocation for its implementation.
Uttar Pradesh cabinet on Tuesday approved implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations for state government employees, said Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
UP government's decision came in ahead of crucial Assembly election in the state. With this approval, around 22 lakh state government employees will get the benefit of the implementation.
As per to a Times of India report, following the approval, now the government is expected to table another supplementary budget in the assembly session which is starting from December 21.
With the upcoming elections, the Samajwadi Party government is expected to make budgetary allocation for its implementation, which is likely to be around Rs 24,000 crore, the report said.
