UIDAI alert! Mobile number linked with Aadhaar? Here is how you can verify
People are required to keep their mobile number updated in Aadhaar as registered mobile number is essential to avail Aadhaar Online services. In case your mobile number is not registered with your Aadhaar you can visit the nearest Permanent Aadhaar Centre (PAC).
Aadhaar number is a 12-digit random number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to the residents of India after satisfying the verification process laid down by the Authority. Any individual, irrespective of age and gender, who is a resident of India, may voluntarily enrol to obtain Aadhaar number.
Any person willing to enrol has to provide minimal demographic and biometric information during the enrolment process which is free of cost.

UIDAI through its tweet has asked people to always keep their mobile number updated in Aadhaar.
"Always keep your mobile number updated in Aadhaar. If you have any doubt about whether your correct mobile number or email has been linked with Aadhaar, you can verify the same using this link: https://resident.uidai.gov.in/verify-email-mobile," it tweeted.

You can verify your email address and mobile number that has been declared at the time of enrolment or during latest Aadhaar detail update on Aadhaar website.
Here are the steps which you can follow:
Step 1: Go to the official website of UIDAI that is https://uidai.gov.in/ or directly click on the link- https://resident.uidai.gov.in/verify-email-mobile.
Step 2: If you visit the official UIDAI website then you will have to click on My Aadhaar then go to Aadhaar Services and then select Verify Email/Mobile Number.
Step 3: Provide your 12 digit Aadhaar number (UID).
Step 4: Enter your contact details (Mobile number or Email).
Step 5: Do captcha verification
Step 6: Click on send OTP button.
