Train 18 ticket fare EXCLUSIVE: Delhi to Varanasi AC chair car to cost Rs 1760 on Vande Bharat Express

Contrary to earlier reports, the Train 18 ticket price from Delhi to Varanasi for AC chair car will be Rs 1760. The same journey on Vande Bharat Express' executive car ticket will be priced at Rs 3310. This would also include the catering service charges. The train has two classes of tickets - executive class and chair car - and will have differently priced meals. The semi-high speed train is scheduled to be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 15. On the return journey, the AC chair car ticket between Varanasi and Delhi would cost Rs 1700.  The executive chair car ticket on the same route would cost Rs 3260.

Earlier, it was announced that the passengers won't have the option to opt out of meals on Train 18. The passengers travelling from New Delhi to Varanasi in the executive class will be charged Rs 399 for morning tea, breakfast and lunch, travellers in the chair car will need to pay Rs 344 for the same. Those travelling from New Delhi to Kanpur and Prayagraj will have to pay Rs 155 and Rs 122 for executive class and chair car, respectively.

From Varanasi to New Delhi, the passengers will be charged Rs 349 and Rs 288 in the executive class and chair, respectively.
